This section is the Strategic Partners area and showcases the key strategic relationships cCLOA has.
The National Leisure & Culture Forum
The National Leisure & Culture Forum was established in 2005 to bring together all the professional bodies representing those working across the cultural services in the public sector.
Jane Wilson, the Chair of Arts Development UK, is Chair of the NLCF, taking over from Mark Taylor of the Museums Association and previous to that, Iain Varah (Past Chair of Chief Culture & Leisure Officers Association)
Local Government Association
The LGA's mission is to support, promote and improve local government. This is informed and shaped by intelligence and input from local councils.
LGA is a key partner for cCLOA and the association advises LGA's Culture, Tourism and Sport Board.
One of cCLOA founding principles was to work closely with Government on behalf of culture, tourism and sport public sector services, principally with the Department that became DCMS; we still have important connections with the Department.
The National Archives is the official archive and publisher for the UK government and for England and Wales, and has responsibility for archives sector leadership in England.
Sport England is the government agency responsible creating a world class community sport environment, helping people and communities across the country create a sporting habit for life.
