Members Meetings & AGM

Members meetings are scheduled quarterly but do rely on CLOA members volunteering assistance with venue, programme etc.

Members' meeting 21 October 2011

Around 50 delegates attended a highly effective members' meeting at Birmingham City University on 21st October 2011. Supported by Serco and with a programme largely featuring Birmingham City Council's B programme, the theme of 'culture and sport's contribution to health and well-being' highlighted a raft of important strategic issues from which CLOA will be developing position statements and advice in due course.

Vincent Paliczka, CLOA's lead for health and well being, introduced the theme for the day. He referred to the challenges and opportunities facing us and gave his opinion that this agenda could be the most important for us in our working lifetime. For the full text of Vince's speech, click here
