CLOA isn't an Association that relies on meetings, given that its members are by design extremely busy. We therefore aim for 3 meetings a year, one of which includes the AGM. We have a partnership with the Local Government Group, which includes working with them on the annual LGA/CLOA Culture, Tourism and Sport Conference, typically in March each year and which features the highly popular CLOA Fringe.
We also work with other strategic partners; in particular, we have Chaired the annual 'Future of Culture and Sport' Conference in association with Neil Stewart Associates for several years and we have recently strengthened our relationship by working with them on the annual 'young people and sport' and 'libraries' conferences.
Other partnerships that have included joint work on events have included SIBEC and The Leisure Review's annual symposium.
